Blanco Guest Farm, a registered Nature Reserve, is situated
deep in the heart of the Eastern Cape interior, nestled at
the base of the Winterberg Mountains. It is a place that's
always ready to remind you what holidays are all about.

Blanco is warm and friendly and its unique formula makes it
the ideal family getaway for those who want to enjoy a farm
holiday with a wide range of outdoor and nature pursuits.
It's equally perfect for those who simply want to relax,
unwind and enjoy the peace and tranquility of life away from
the hustle and bustle of the city.
ACCOMMODATION:
Accommodation is in cosy, rustic cottages
which are situated within the gardens around the main house.
There is a choice of twin or three bedded rooms or two
bed-roomed cottages. All are serviced daily and have private
bathrooms.
Your stay includes a traditional country style breakfast, a
light lunch and a five-course dinner, served in our
comfortable dining room. Homemade bread and fresh farm cream
are also part of the Blanco tradition.
The main lounge is roomy and comfortable and is ideal for
relaxing or reading. It is very popular in winter with its
roaring log fire. There is a separate TV lounge and a well
stocked library.
Teenagers can escape to their own games room for "chat" and
table tennis.
A spacious veranda frames the front of the main house and
from here, guests can appreciate the views across the
mountains. Teas are served on the veranda and in the warm
weather, some of the meals as well.
Blanco caters for conferences and groups and is one of the
few holiday resorts that has its own private landing strip.

Get into the great outdoors at Blanco.
If bowls is your game, there's a full size championship rink
with Florida grass.
Golfers can practice their chipping and test their skills on
our challenging golf course.
Three all-weather tennis courts are available and a squash
court with a wooden sprung floor.
There is also a sauna, a large swimming pool and a
trampoline and a volley ball court.
THE
FARM EXPERIENCE
Blanco horses are suitable for adults and children. Rides
are at set times and are accompanied by a member of our
staff. Early morning pony rides are always a favourite with
the children.
Cows are milked daily and children are welcome to
participate. There is also a rabbit enclosure where bunnies
are always ready to nibble on that hand-delivered extra
piece of greenery.
Animals are very much a part of the farm life, and to
witness first hand the birth of a lamb or calf can be an
unforgettable experience.
FACE
TO FACE WITH NATURE
Blanco is a nature-lover's delight with its own private game
reserve. Guests can walk or ride through the park and look
out for the different species of game, including zebra,
springbok, impala, blesbok and black wildebeest.
Birdwatchers will also be kept very busy with over 160
recorded species.
For those who like to walk, there are many ways to go - not
too far from home. The more adventurous hikers can find
different routes and challenges to take up all around the
farm and on the mountains.
And then finally, for those with aching muscles from the
abundance of activities, there is the Blanco Salon where
guests can have their pains and troubles expertly massaged
away.

Blanco and children go together! Little ones are welcomed as
special guests and everything possible is done to cater to
their every need. Many a child with fond holiday memories
has returned years later with a new generation of children
to explore once again the charm of Blanco.
Parents can relax and enjoy their meals while the children
get together in a separate children's dining room.
There is total peace of mind for all as nannies can be hired
on a daily basis to care for younger children.
The timeless Blanco Tractor Cart takes a trip every
afternoon in season, with all the children and the nannies
aboard - giving parents a quiet and well-deserved break.
