Glen Etive is an historic family farm that has been in the
Scott family for 125 years. It is a quality farm , producing
natural beef, lamb and wool and raspberries ( a new
endeavour ).
Neil and Wendy Scott are the current owners and your
friendly and hospitable hosts.
They will help you enjoy your stay in this beautiful part of
the world.
ACCOMMODATION:
Glen Etive Cottage is set in a beautiful
and huge park-like garden with ancient oaks, next to the
Glen Etive house.
The Cottage can accommodate up to 6 people, in 3 bedrooms.
There is currently only one bathroom and a separate toilet.
It has a lounge and dining area and has a fully equipped
kitchen.
The Cottage is fully serviced daily.
Baby sitters can be arranged on request.
THINGS TO DO:
This is a working farm , and besides
normal daily farming, there are lot of other things you can
do.
There are stunning walks along oak avenues.
There are mountain walks.
Farm horses are available for riding and there is fly
fishing nearby at Thrift and other trout dams.
You can play croquet under the shady oaks!
Winter offers its own charms of crisp frosty mornings and
the possibility of snow !
Tsolwana Game Park is nearby , as is Mpofu. Cradock Mountain
Zebra Park is a lovely day’s excursion. And of course our
very own Winterberg Mountain and Gorge to climb and explore!
