The Winterberg School Trust strives for the sustainable growth of the Winterberg Community, through education and the creation of opportunities for social and economic upliftment.

The Winterberg School Trust is situated in the heart of the Winterberg, 25km south of Tarkastad in the Eastern Cape. The Trust is a non-profit, community based organization. Education is the core business of this successful organization, which continually strives to meet community needs in the following areas:

PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Youth Empowerment (YEP)

This Project provides young adults (ages 16 to 25) who have attained their General Education and Training Certificates (GETC/ Grade 9), with an affordable opportunity to further their education in a meaningful, skills-related manner.

Students are as a result of the partnership formed with Ikhala Public FET College (Queenstown), able to enroll for 2 Pre Matric Courses at the WST campus: The National Certificate: Business Studies N2 and The National Certificate: Business Studies N3. Computer Practice and Secretarial Catering are among the subjects offered.

Students are also required to complete a work experience component in addition to the requirements of the prescribed National curriculum.
